Privacy Policy

Effective November 3, 2026

This Policy explains what information Su Yun's Chinese Learning Center ("we," "us," or "our") collects on suyunschineselearningcenter.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you fill out our contact form, inquire about or enroll in a program, or otherwise communicate with us, we collect the information you choose to provide — typically a parent's or guardian's name, email address, phone number, and any details you include in your message (which may include information about a child, such as a first name, age, or grade level).

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, links clicked, and the dates and times of your visits.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. The site currently uses:

  • Squarespace — our website hosting platform, which sets cookies necessary to operate and secure the site.
    • Google Analytics — a web-analytics service that helps us understand traffic and usage. It sets cookies and may process your data as described in Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy). You can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

      • Pinterest — used for social and sharing features, which may set cookies and collect usage information as described in Pinterest's Privacy Policy (policy.pinterest.com/privacy-policy).

      • You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings and through the cookie banner on the site. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

    • How we use your information

  • We use the information we collect to:
  • respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about our programs;
    • process and manage enrollment, scheduling, and related administration;
      • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site; and

        • comply with our legal obligations.

        • How we share your information

      • We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

      • Service providers who help us run the site and our programs (for example, our website host and analytics provider), and only as needed to perform those services; and

        • Legal and safety recipients when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our students, families, staff, or others.

        • Children's privacy

      • Our programs serve children, but the site is directed to parents and guardians, not to children. We do not knowingly allow children to submit personal information to us through the site; forms and inquiries are intended to be completed by a parent or guardian. We collect information about a child only when a parent or guardian provides it (for example, when enrolling a child in a program), and we use it only to provide and administer that program. If you believe a child has provided us personal information through the site without a parent's or guardian's involvement, please contact us and we will delete it.

    • Your choices and rights

  • You may:
  • ask us what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
    • ask us to correct or delete your personal information; and

      • opt out of analytics cookies as described in the "Cookies and tracking technologies" section above.

      • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state's privacy law (for example, California residents under the CCPA/CPRA). Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, no "Do Not Sell or Share" action is needed, but you may still exercise the rights above. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

    • Data retention and security

  • We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law, and we use reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The site may link to third-party websites (such as our Facebook page). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their policies.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and post the updated Policy on this page.
